THE STORY

TOP COPS is a reality based cop show. Each week three true to life stories of law enforcement heroism are recounted. The actual law enforcement officer narrates his or her own story. Retold as a recreated dramatization.

In this episode Trooper Grant Caper recounts how he was almost killed trying to prevent a crazed Seth Bradford from killing his girlfriend. Bradford's girlfriend walks in on him in bed with another woman. After taking the kids out of the trailer to her car. She retrieves a gun and threatens to shoot a drunken Bradford. There is a tense standoff but she is unable to pull the trigger. He takes the gun from her before she runs out. Driving away with the kids. He pursues her with the intent to kill. He tries to repeatedly run her off the road but she manages to find sanctuary in a police station. Bradford arrives for the kill and is confronted by Trooper Carper instead.

HE CHARACTER


Seth Bradford is pure trailer park white trash. A drug dealing, hard drinking misogynist pig. A good old boy. But he can not be judged too harshly because there are times when he is genuinely sincere and charming. Unfortunately you have to aim a gun at his balls to get him in that mood. He is primal and lives to satisfy his immediate urges.

" During the first few years of my career I was usually cast as the nice young man. The type that mom just loves but the daughter does not find dangerous enough. Then I moved from Montreal to Toronto. And after a very difficult year that I shared with a bottle the look in my eyes apparently changed And the casting powers that be decided that I would be perfect as the "looks innocent and sweet but is really a crazy psycho" ..."
