THE CHARACTER

Bobby Jr. - B.J. is a very disturbed and deluded young man who has been psychologically and physically abused by his father, who is himself a very warped individual, He lives in a make believe world seeking to create the perfect family. The one he has never had. Emotionally atrophied he is at times gently, naive and fragile a lost, unloved little boy. Yet more often then not he is unpredictable, violent (something he learnt only too well from his father) and at times downright demonic. He is very bright, as is the case with most paranoid schizophrenics. B.J. really struggles to maintain equilibrium. What he needs he takes unaware that he should maybe ask first. If only he could understand that love can not be taken only given. But alas..

Someone is Watching - B.J. prepares Michelle for their wedding night

COMMENTS

" B.J. was a very complex and difficult character to play. I hesitated before accepting this role. I have over the years played a number of disturbed individuals and I did not know if I had the energy to give up part of myself to another one, especially if the violent actions that he committed were gratuitous. I was at a point in my life where I no longer wanted to project negative energy out into the universe... "
